We live in a world of constant “spin”. Thanks to social media, there are many new ways to cover up the truth and deceive others for political reasons or personal gain. Or for no reason at all, just by passing on the lies and half-truths that have become accepted. Sometimes too, the blunt truth feels uncomfortable, so people may speak in ways that “water down” the truth.
The Calgary Counselling Centre's Mission
Since 1962, the Calgary Counselling Centre has helped people thrive despite life's challenges. They offer unique services for men who have experienced or perpetrated abuse, partnering with the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter. Their programs help men change behaviors and navigate emotions, fostering healthier lives and relationships.
The Caring Dads program was a lifesaver for Jeff
Jeff's life was transformed by the Caring Dads program, which helped him address anger issues and unhealthy parenting patterns. Through weekly check-ins and learning about the impact of his emotions on his children, he became a better father. The program, designed to help men change their fathering and partner behaviors, has supported many in ending the cycle of violence.
